Top 100 Players of 2015: Baltimore Ravens Add Justin Forsett to List

The revealing of the Top 100 Players of 2015 is rumbling on and the Baltimore Ravens continue to leave their mark on the list. Justin Forsett was added to the list at number 65, which gives the Ravens 6 players total so far with 60 players yet to be revealed.

The player the Ravens brought in to help provide competition for Pierce and Taliaferro and help teach them a new system turned out to be Ray Rice’s replacement.  And boy did he do well, exceeding every expectation. Forsett also quickly became a fan favorite after spending much of his career as a journeyman back.

Justin Forsett proceeded to have a breakout year, racking up 1,266 yards on 235 carries with 8 touchdowns, all of which are career highs. Along with his lofty stats, Forsett made his first Pro Bowl and also played well in that game. His career year was rewarded this offseason by the Ravens, as the team resigned him to a 3-year, $9 million deal.

Finally, I feel that a Ravens player has been ranked fairly on this year’s list. Though he definitely should’ve been ahead of Adrian Peterson, who played in only one game in 2014. Forsett was probably one of the top 60 players in the league this year after he finished 5th in rushing yards and 1st in yards per carry (of players with more than 200 carries). He was also tied for 8th in the league in touchdowns.

With Justin Forsett making the list, the Ravens need only one more player to make it to hit 7 total, which would match their personal best. That player will surely be Elvis Dumervil, and I’m very excited to see how highly he’ll be ranked. But with 17 sacks last season, it may be a couple of weeks before we see his name show up.
