Welcome to the Daily Caw, where we round up all the latest Baltimore Ravens news from around the web.  Today we catch up with all the happenings at OTAs, where the wide receivers are shining and Brent Urban is getting benched.  And we learn that the Ravens aren’t giving up on Dennis Pitta just yet.

OTA news and notes: wide receivers shineRyan Mink, BaltimoreRavens.com

"Even before Organized Team Activities (OTAs) began, it appeared the Ravens would have some difficult decisions to make when it comes to wide receiver. After Wednesday’s fifth OTA practice, it’s clear that what looked strong on paper transfers to the field (at least while there’s no contact). Wide receiver looks to be one of the team’s strongest and deepest units."

Ravens defensive lineman Brent Urban sent to sidelines after getting too close to Joe FlaccoAaron Wilson, The Baltimore Sun

"Ravens defensive end Brent Urban busted into the backfield Wednesday, approaching the territory of Joe Flacco without making contact with the veteran quarterback. It was far too close for comfort, though, for coach John Harbaugh in terms of Flacco’s safety during the organized team activity. After Urban celebrated his pass-rushing accomplishment with defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan, Harbaugh had seen enough. So, Harbaugh ordered Urban over to the sideline for a few plays as a reminder about the practice rules about protecting quarterbacks."

Ravens are not counting out Dennis Pitta for this seasonJamison Hensley, ESPN

"Pitta looked much more fluid in running his routes off to the side, and he even caught some passes from Joe Flacco and Matt Schaub. The Ravens continued to keep him out of any team drills.“Dennis is out there for about half the practice and he’s doing a good job, too, so we’re not counting him out at all,” coach John Harbaugh said."

Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown bulks up, says he’s put on ‘grown man weight”Aaron Wilson, The Baltimore Sun

"“I’m getting bigger,” said Brown, who worked out regularly this offseason at TZ Sports in Eldersburg. “I put on some weight and I’m maintaining it right now. I do feel good moving around. It’s about keeping it on.“I ate consistently, nothing outside of my regular diet, just very consistent throughout the offseason. I’m getting older. I’ve been putting on that grown-man weight.”"

Ravens CBs Jimmy Smith, Lardarius Webb absent, Terrence Brooks takes part in team drillsAaron Wilson, The Baltimore Sun

"With Smith and Webb not attending the voluntary workout, Asa Jackson and Rashaan Melvin lined up with the starting defense. Smith practiced last week and appeared to have no problems with his surgically-repaired foot.Free safety Terrence Brooks ran around and took part in team drills, an encouraging sign for the former third-round NFL draft pick from Florida State. Brooks is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from his torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament, suffered in December."

Ravens wide receiver Aldrick Robinson injures knee, out until training campJamison Hensley, ESPN

"The Baltimore Ravens lost their second wide receiver for the remainder of the offseason workouts this spring when reserve wide receiver Aldrick Robinson sprained the medial collateral ligament in his knee in Tuesday’s organized team activity.“He’ll be ready to go in training camp,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday."
