Reason #1 – Breshad Perriman is the best wide receiver prospect the Baltimore Ravens have ever had.
The Ravens have never had a receiver on their roster with the measurables, athleticism, and upside that first round pick Breshad Perriman brings to the table. Â Torrey Smith came close, but ultimately never developed into the number one guy this team has, quite frankly, never had.
Whether or not Perriman becomes that guy is a question yet to be answered, but Joe Flacco and company are excited about his potential.  Perriman didn’t drop a single pass at OTAs after whiffing on eight last season, and appears to be as advertised in the speed/catch radius/explosion categories.
So while the 49ers paid Torrey big bucks to come in and stretch the field, the Ravens used a draft choice to replace him with a player who has more natural talent, and at a much cheaper price.  If you are a Ravens fan and you aren’t giddy about this kid’s potential, well, you should be.
