When Ray Rice was suspended last season, everyone expected Bernard Pierce to step in and carry the load with Forsett backing him up, but that was not the case. By the halfway mark of the season Forsett had established himself as the starter.

In 2014 Forsett had his best season by a mile; rushing for 1,266 yards and scoring eight touchdowns with an average of 5.4 yards per carry.

Like Smith Sr., he has to step up and mentor a group of young backs. Rookie Javorius Allen and 2nd year back Lorenzo Taliaferro will more than likely battle it out for the number two spot and both will look to Forsett for guidance.

With an impressive and now healthy offensive line, Forsett looks like he will be even better at running the rock in 2015. Forsett’s rushing ability will also help open up the passing game with play action, allowing the receivers to thrive. I expect him to have another season of over 1,000 yards on the ground and double figure touchdowns.
