Offseason report card grades pre-training camp – Russell S. Baxter, Bleacher Report
"There’s a reason the Baltimore Ravens have not had a losing season each of the last seven years, been to the postseason in six of those instances and won at least one playoff game in each of those half-dozen occasions.General manager Ozzie Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh have made for a great combination. There have been some messy missteps the last year or so, but the organization has learned from its mistakes. See the offseason release of running back Bernard Pierce following theRay Rice debacle."
Former NFL DB Keion Carpenter says Ravens have upgraded secondary – Aaron Wilson, The Baltimore Sun
"“I think it’s going to work,” retired Atlanta Falcons safety and Woodlawn standout Keion Carpenter, a 105.7 The Fan radio analyst, told The Baltimore Sun. “They were one of the worst in the league last year, so it can’t do anything but get better. I think they brought in some solid guys. That was the weakest link on the team. If they can shore that up, the sky is the limit for the Ravens this year.”"

Will WR Torrey Smith or Breshad Perriman have more yards? – Clifton Brown, CSN Baltimore
"Remember when the Ravens traded Anquan Boldin to the 49ers after winning Super Bowl XLVII, then failed to make the playoffs in 2013? A lot of Ravens fans were livid, feeling that the loss of Boldin was a major factor in the team’s offensive struggles. The Ravens promptly signed Steve Smith in 2013, and he delivered with a 79 catches and 1,065 yards last season, helping the Ravens return to the postseason. Now we’re about to see how the Ravens cope without Torrey Smith, formerly the Ravens’ biggest deep threat. He had a down year in 2014 (49 catches, 767 yards), but he still led the team with 11 touchdowns."
