Injuries have been a sticking point early in training camp and the preseason for the Baltimore Ravens, but they delivered some good news this week as safety Terrence Brooks has returned to practice.
Brooks is ahead of schedule in his recovery, but is still unsure of his status for week 1 or even Saturday’s preseason game against the Eagles.
Meanwhile, John Harbaugh announced that tight end Dennis Pitta will begin the 2015 season on the PUP list, meaning that the veteran will not be eligible to play until week 7 at the earliest.
This isn’t a big surprise, as Pitta’s recovery has been slow going since he went down with his second career hip injury last season.
Lardarius Webb is still nursing a hamstring injury he suffered back on August 10th, but Rashaad Melvin has looked very good in his absence.
Meanwhile, the kick and punt returner jobs are still a wide open competition, with Michael Campanaro being joined by Aldrick Robinson, DeAndre Carter and Tom Nelson.
