As expected, the Baltimore Ravens first preseason game against the Saints last week produced a fair number of surprises.  Fans were treated to an exciting game that went down to the wire, and they also got a good look at the current state of the depth chart.

We also got an idea of how the various position battles are panning out.  Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll only gain more clarity.  This week, everyone gets a little more exposure as they play a nationally televised game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Making this game more interesting are the three days of joint practices which lead up to it.  These two teams will be quite familiar with each other by the time Saturday night rolls around.  There might also be a little bad blood present as well.

Most people will probably be watching this game to see the expected debut of Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, who is once again making a comeback attempt after a catastrophic injury.  Reports have been rosy on Bradford’s play in training camp, but he has yet to face any live action.

Ravens fans will be watching that of course, but they will also be curious about a few other things.  How will the defense hold up against Chip Kelly’s fast paced offense?  Can the running game bounce back? Will any of the tight ends gain separation in the race to start?

Here are 3 things in particular that will be notable for Ravens fans in Saturday night’s showdown.

Next: Which Arthur Brown will show up?
