Despite suffering an injury on his throwing hand last week, Raiders’ QB Derek Carr has been cleared to play this week, and he will most likely be making the start. Despite a major lack of talent on the roster, Carr had a surprising rookie year, throwing for 21 TDs and passing for 3,270 yards.

The Ravens’ defense last week gave Peyton Manning a lot of trouble, but Manning is already showing clear signs of waning arm strength and lack of touch on passes.

Now that Carr has high 1st round WR Amari Cooper to throw to, he will only continue to improve. If Carr is able to find his groove, the Ravens’ defense might be in for a challenge.

Look for Carr to get a slow start, but if he manages to find a rhythm, the Raiders’ offense might be able to move the ball pretty well. Carr is definitely a young QB that is on the rise.
