The running game must continue to improve
The Cleveland Browns have the NFL’s worst rated defense after 4 weeks, and the league’s next-to-worst ranked rushing defense. They are giving up an astounding 141.5 yards per game, along with a 4.8 per carry average to opposing backs.
Coming off a season best 150 yard performance against the Steelers’ 18th ranked rushing defense, Justin Forsett appears to be gaining traction at the right time for the Ravens. With Steve Smith out and the lack of talent behind him, the Ravens figure to pound the ball early and often in this one.
After seeing 27 carries last week, Forsett is a lock for 20+ this week unless the Ravens roll to a big early lead. In that scenario, he might get some rest and watch Lorenzo Taliaferro and Buck Allen share the load down the stretch.
Since the Browns have played competitive football this season, I don’t necessarily see that happening. This is more likely to be a fairly close game, meaning that Forsett is going to eat for the second straight week. Which should be music to the ears of his owners in fantasy football.
