Stock up: Lawrence Guy
With Terrell Suggs on injured reserve and Elvis Dumervil missing time this week with an injury, the Ravens are desperately short on pass rushers at the moment. Enter the surprising performance of Lawrence Guy this week, who has previously been (quite literally) “just a guy.”
Guy racked up 2 sacks, 2 QB hits, and 3 tackles for a loss in perhaps the best performance of his journeyman career. He was even tied for 4th in tackles this week with 6.
The Ravens are using a heavy rotation along their defensive line, and desperately need their front to step up and create pressure on the quarterback if they hope to mask their deficiencies in the secondary. Perhaps Lawrence Guy is the “guy” for the job (OK, I’ll stop now).
