Jeremy Ross
I’m sticking with Ross for the second week in a row for a number of reasons. One, the Ravens need a speedy receiver who can operate out of the slot after losing Michael Campanaro to injured reserve. Two, Steve Smith figures to see a lot of Patrick Peterson Monday night, a guy who historically has had his number.
Ross has, as previously mentioned, seen an increase in offensive snaps since the Ravens promoted him from the practice squad a few weeks ago. In week 6, he played only the 5th most snaps of any Ravens wide receiver but was 3rd in targets and total yards.
The increase in usage doesn’t figure to stop, as the Ravens desperately need another offensive playmaker. Ross also has the speed (4.4 40) that this offense lacks and has shown some playmaking and YAC skills in his limited opportunities.
Jeremy Ross is a guy who can have a big game, if the Ravens simply give him the chance to do so.
