Cheers: The secondary surprisingly plays better than the front seven

Despite our concerns that the Ravens putrid secondary would allow Carson Palmer and Co. to have a field day through the air Monday night, the group surprisingly pulled together and put on a decent performance.

Granted, it wasn’t all good.  Palmer still had a nice game (20/29 for 275 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions), but we expected much worse.  Most fantasy experts had Palmer as their QB1 for the week, and he was most certainly not.

But the Ravens did a nice job shutting down a hot Larry Fitzgerald (3 catches for 39 yards), and allowed only 65 yards to the dangerous John Brown.  They didn’t record an interception (as usual) and only had 2 passes defensed, but coverage wasn’t terrible by any means.
