You can’t stop Phillip Rivers, but you can slow him down (maybe)
Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers has been an absolutely unstoppable force this season. He leads the NFL with an incredible 2,452 passing yards through seven games (350.3 ypg). To put that in perspective, Tom Brady is almost 400 yards behind him in second (though he’s had a bye week).

He also sports some other impressive numbers: a 15/7 touchdown to interception ratio, 69.1% completion percentage, and a 37.3% first down percentage, despite taking a whopping 18 sacks (8th in the NFL) behind an injury ravaged offensive line.
Is there any stopping Rivers? Probably not, but the Ravens can keep themselves in the game, much as they did last week against the Cardinals. The secondary limited Carson Palmer to 275 yards and 2 touchdowns, giving up no big plays through the air.
It was enough to keep the Ravens in the game to the end, when of course Joe Flacco blew it by tossing an end zone interception. Keeping Rivers under 300 yards this week would be a major accomplishment, and it would likely give them another shot at a win.
