For two consecutive seasons with the Baylor Bears, Corey Coleman has put up big time numbers. The 5’11” 190 pound receiver has had back to back seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards. He is a touchdown scoring machine.

In the 2013 season Coleman showed he was a big play receiver. His opening act to his collegiate career saw 35 receptions for 527 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2014 he took the step into stardom. With 64 receptions, 1,119 yards and 11 touchdowns Coleman made a statement. He backed that statement up with an unbelievable 20 touchdown receptions in 2015.

Should Baltimore Ravens Take Him?

I will say this again, the Ravens need another wide receiver and they can never have enough talent at that position. The Ravens would be justified taking Coleman with the sixth overall pick. Coleman has a very similar build and style of play to Odell Beckham. I have Coleman as my number two receiver behind Laquon Treadwell.

Imagine that Breshad Perriman is everything the Ravens hoped he could be. Imagine pairing Coleman and Perriman. The Ravens would have a combination much like the Eagles had with DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Giving Joe Flacco two speedy options for the future sounds like a good idea to me.

Coleman would not be my first choice for the Ravens but he would be an understandable pick. Coleman shows signs of being a special talent.
