These Draft Picks Worked Out Great For The Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have a history of being a dominant team in the NFL Draft. In recent years Ozzie Newsome hasn’t lived up to the reputation he has built for himself. There are two things of note here. First, it’s hard to live up to expectations when you do so well, for so long. Secondly last year’s draft was very solid; the Ravens GM looks to be on the right track moving forward.

The Ravens have a method in the draft that has been proven to work. It may have down years, and nobody hits on every draft pick. But the Ravens method works. The Ravens method is validated by draft steals. A steal in the draft is getting a player at a value so good, it is almost unfair. Getting a steal in the draft, is selecting a player who should have already been off the board. The Ravens have done it plenty in the past. Newsome is a genius when it comes to finding value.
