Arizona Cardinals

DT Robert Nkemdiche

A-

Nkemdiche is really good, but off the field issues caused him to slide down the board. The Cardinals possess the locker room that can get him on the straight and narrow. If they do, he quickly helps add much needed help up front.

Los Angeles Rams

QB Jared Goff

B-

The Rams better pray Goff is the real deal because they gave up several high draft picks to get him. After ranking last in team quarterback rating in the 2015 season, the Rams must feel giving up those picks will pay off. I think they lost too much for this pick, but you have to go get the franchise QB.

San Francisco 49ers

DE DeForest Buckner

A

It is rare that I will compliment a team that employees Chip Kelly, but this pick was a perfect. With Buckner still on the board, taking anyone else may have resulted in an F grade regardless of who it was. Buckner is one of the safest picks in the draft.

San Francisco 49ers

G Joshua Garnett

D

I guess the 49ers realized they did something really good by accident as DeForest Buckner fell to them at seven, so they had to do something equally dumb. First, Garnett should have gone late in the second round. Middle of the second at the earliest. But, San Fran traded back into the first to take a Stanford offensive lineman who have not had the best track record as of late (1 of 5 in the past four drafts has been good).

Seattle Seahawks

T Germain Ifedi

B-

The Seahawks filled a need and traded down to do it, but they only get a B- because they could have traded down again and still picked Ifedi. Plus, they announced Ifedi as a tackle, but it seems pretty clear that he will be a guard. If they try to force him into tackle, it may get ugly.
