Terrell Suggs Is Someone Who Breaks The Rules Of Reality Often…
A 33 year old linebacker who suffered his second Achilles injury is somebody who most people would be worried about. That old (by NFL standards) and rehabbing linebacker is Terrell Suggs. Suggs has made a living defying the odds and expectations. Suggs is a freak athlete, and I mean that as a compliment. He can do things that other people cannot.

Now it’s not “The Matrix,” he isn’t going to dodge bullets or fly through the air. He’s just going to do what many people think he can’t do. He is going to return to being a superstar for the Baltimore Ravens. The “Ball So Hard University” alum is going to show you exactly how much he has left in his tank.
The Ravens need Suggs to come back at full strength. The Ravens may have added talent to the outside linebacker position, in the 2016 NFL Draft, but nobody can replace Suggs. Number 55 is the leader of the Ravens defense. In that locker room he is a living legend, a direct descendant of the Ray Lewis age. As a leader his word carries an awful lot of weight with his teammates.
His injury happened in week one of the 2015 season. There is little doubt that Suggs will be recovered by the time the season starts. The fact that this injury did not send him into retirement says a lot about Suggs. Suggs could have walked away from the game as the 2011 defensive player of the year, a Super Bowl champion and a six time Pro-Bowl player. If he decided to retire, he would have retired as one of the most accomplished Ravens players.
Suggs has a louder and more powerful engine than anybody in football. His want-to is incredible. He came into this league as a pass rusher who could not stuff the run consistently. He developed into an all around player. When he got his first big paycheck he came into the season out of shape. He clearly learned from it, and challenged himself to never let it happen again.

Normal 33 year olds recovering from a major injury may not be able to get it going for another season. Suggs is not normal, Suggs is special.
