This was obvious since you could argue that Lewis was the greatest football player ever. He is without a doubt the best Ravens player of all-time. Lewis was the heartbeat of the Ravens from 1996-2012. He walked off into the sunset after winning his second Super Bowl championship.

Lewis put up incredible numbers. He had 1,336 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 31 interceptions and 17 forced fumbles. Ray Lewis had 13 seasons with 100 tackles or more. He had at least one sack in ever season except for 2002.

The Ravens have had some pretty incredible linebackers. None of them compare favorably to the greatest linebacker in the history of the game. Number 52 was everything to the Ravens as a franchise. There is a reason his statue stands outside of M&T Bank Stadium.
