4. Carl Davis

This was one of my favorite players in the 2015 NFL Draft. This big defensive tackle from Iowa looks very intimidating in full pads. We’re talking about an explosive, 6’5″ 315 pound defensive lineman. A third round pick, Davis is expected to give the Ravens what he gave the Iowa Hawkeyes: a dominant force up front.

Davis had just 11 total tackles last season. He’s not an unstoppable force yet, but he could certainly get here. He has the prototypical body of a superstar in the 3-4 defensive line. The Ravens know how to develop young defensive line talent. Davis will get better every season.

Davis has a lot of competition at the defensive line positions. He has to earn his playing time, it is not just given. Davis is the perfect example of a player that comes into the league who is not a finished product. The good news here, is that the talent is absolutely there. Let’s see if he can take the next step in 2016.
