What If The Secondary Woes Continue

What happens if the Ravens pass defense is not really fixed? What happens if Shareece Wright plays poorly (like he did before he was a Ravens player)? What happens if Jimmy Smith gets hurt? I just asked three questions that I doubt the Ravens really wanted to hear. Do they have an answer, do they have a plan B?

The Ravens secondary success hinges on the players they have stepping up and staying healthy. If one thing goes wrong, the addition of Eric Weddle will only do so much. The Ravens are hoping for it to go right, because the secondary is still the barest point on the depth chart. This is the area of the team that seems to deal with the most injuries. This is the area of the team that I am least willing to bet on.

Shareece Wright was claimed off waivers last season. There was a reason he was available. While Wright showed great improvement with each start, do we really know what to expect from him? The Ravens have a ton of confidence in Wright. Frankly I do to. I think we saw a ton of growth by Wright in a short amount of time. Leslie Frazier is a very good secondary coach. The man knows his football and on paper his unit is strong. I still have to see it before I stop worrying about it.
