Coming back from his first major injury, we have to wonder which Joe Flacco are we getting? Will we get the Super Bowl MVP or the guy who threw 22 interceptions in an awful 2013 campaign? That’s a question facing the Ravens. It’s hard to bet against Joe Flacco. Overall he has been an amazing quarterback for the Ravens. He has won more road playoff games than any quarterback in NFL history and we know he has the clutch gene in his DNA. But Flacco is in new waters. Before week 11 of the 2015 season he never missed a game; he never had to return from a situation like this.

We have all seen the good Joe and the bad Joe. The good Joe throws unbelievable touchdown passes. The bad Joe throws unbelievable interceptions. Over the course of his career, the good has shown on a fairly consistent basis, while the bad part of his game crept out every now and then. It’s easy to say that Flacco is on a decline since his Super Bowl run. However 2014 was a great year from the veteran quarterback.

I think we’re going to get a sharpened Flacco this season. I think the injury is going to motivate him. Knowing that he is not invincible and that his season could end  on any play; should fuel Flacco to give his best performances. That being said, Flacco has never come back from an injury like this. We don’t know how this injury will effect him in the 2016 season. Prepare for both Flacco’s just in case.
