John Urschel

With Kelechi Osemele gone, and Ronnie Stanley manning the left tackle position, John Urschel is the probable left guard next season. In the last 10 years, Urschel has gotten 10 career starts. We have a large enough sample of his performances to know that Urschel is a solid guard. He isn’t an upgrade from Kelechi Osemele, who just became the richest guard in NFL history for the Oakland Raiders. That being said, Urschel has given the Ravens quality starts and a reason not to worry.

Last season Urschel got seven starts. While the offensive line had its issues, Urschel was not one of them. He is a sturdy pass blocker and a tough run blocker. Last season gave Urschel some confidence. It allowed him to fully acclimate to the speed of the NFL. The more you do something the better you get at it. Urschel’s experience from last season will help.
