Last season the Baltimore Ravens constantly needed to call the next man up. With the 2016 season almost here, let’s take a look at every starter on offense and defense, and their immediate back up.

The Baltimore Ravens had a 5-11 season in 2015. In 2016, John Harbaugh and company will be hungrier than ever. This is a team that is desperate to prove that they can once again be contenders in the AFC. It is important to remember that this is a franchise that has seen a playoff win, in six of the last eight seasons. The Ravens have a proven head coach and a franchise quarterback, in Joe Flacco. This is not a team to be taken lightly.

The Ravens were busy this offseason. They took every opportunity to solve problems from last season. The biggest addition has to be Eric Weddle. Weddle will be a strong safety with range; but he will also be the leader of the Ravens secondary. The Ravens added a receiver that could stretch the field vertically in Mike Wallace. Nickel cornerback, Jerraud Powers, was also a key signing.

We’re going to look at the Ravens objectively today. On our journey through the roster, you will see a few things. You will see a core of veteran talent and leadership. You will also see the budding potential of young talent. With that in mind, let’s get to it.
