Training Camp: 5 Ravens Desperate To Prove Themselves

Terrance West is getting rave reviews from the Ravens. Kenneth Dixon looks like a possible superstar waiting in the wings. Buck Allen proved himself last season and Justin Forsett is an established starter. Trent Richardson has an uphill battle to make the Ravens roster. The competition is not the only problem facing the former early draft pick.
Richardson starts training camp on the PUP list. Being banged up and on the sideline doesn’t help his case. He needs to dazzle the Ravens. Every practice rep and every preseason snap he can get matters. Richardson has to know that he is running out of chances in the NFL.

The Ravens are the fourth team to take a chance on him. Of all the teams Richardson has gotten a shot with, the Ravens are by far the least invested. It’s no sweat off John Harbaugh’s back if his confidence in Richardson is not rewarded. With a ton of competition, the fact that he is not in peak condition and the Ravens lack of investment, Richardson has a small chance. He has to shine in a way that is undeniably great, to make this team.
