Most Ravens fans probably assumed the worst when Ronnie Stanley went into the locker room with a soft tissue injury. It looks like it is not a big deal but that’s what we heard about Breshad Perriman…
According to reports the Ronnie Stanley injury is minor. Stanley even expects to play in the Ravens first preseason game in just four days. This is good news. The Ravens need Stanley to man the left tackle position and it looks like he won’t miss much time at all.
The injury itself may not be worrisome. However when Stanley walked off the field last night, who didn’t have flashbacks to last season. Who didn’t consider the possibility that for a second straight season, the Ravens first round pick was hurt.

There’s nothing to indicate that Stanley is seriously injured. We don’t have news to freak out about at the moment. Minor injuries are a way of life in the National Football League. Ravens fans obviously have a understandable reason for paranoia. That being said, it looks like a deep breath is what the doctor ordered. Until Stanley misses a significant chunk of time it will be hard to freak out.
It is interesting to note that Alex Lewis came in for Stanley. Lewis was a fourth round pick out of Nebraska. Lewis has a big 6’6″ frame and looks pretty solid. It is yet to be seen if Lewis can handle the speed of the left tackle position. Though to be fair, it remains to be seen if Stanley can handle too. Lewis. The Ravens have a ton of confidence in Lewis and it’s interesting to see him back up Stanley. Anything is better than James Hurst.
