5. Terrence Brooks

Terrence Brooks was the Ravens third round pick in 2014. So far, his career has been a bit of a disappointment. Brooks has shown promise with his great speed and good instincts, but it’s never really translated to on-the-field success. Brooks had an unimpressive 2015 season. An injury stole a chunk of the 2014 season for Brooks.

Last night, Brooks had a good game with four tackles and a great pass deflection. He showed that his potential isn’t just potential. The real question is if he can continue to be a force for the Raven’s defense through the rest of the preseason and into the regular season.

The addition of Eric Weddle solves for x at the safety positions. Lardarius Webb will be the free and Weddle will be the strong. The next question is who else the Ravens are going to keep on the depth chart. The competition seems to be between Brooks and Matt Elam. For Brooks’ sake, he better hope he can keep performing through the preseason and make the roster.
