Stud: Ronnie Stanley

Haven’t heard Ronnie Stanley’s name much this preseason, have you? For a rookie offensive tackle, that’s a great sign.

According to PFF, Stanley has been the Ravens’ highest graded player in two of the three preseason games so far. He hasn’t allowed a single sack or hurry, and just one quarterback hit. That’s pretty remarkable considering he’s been playing against starters.

He’s been opening huge holes for the running backs and keeping the quarterback upright. What else can you ask for?

Stanley has the feet of a dancing bear, coupled with great work ethic and high intelligence. He gains leverage on a defensive lineman immediately after the snap.

We’ve seen plenty of offensive linemen picked in the top ten struggle out of college, but Stanley has had no such troubles. He looks like a mainstay on Joe Flacco’s blindside for a long time to come.
