3. Can The Ravens Beat Top Tier Teams?

You can only win the games on your schedule. Beating Buffalo and Cleveland is nice. The wins count. The Ravens just have not proven anything yet. The Ravens were 5-11 last season. They are clearly better than they were last year, but we still don’t know if the Ravens are really back.

The AFC North is the toughest division in football. After scraping away from the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers may be the most impressive team in the NFL. The Ravens have to face both the Steelers and Bengals twice. The Bengals have had the Ravens number too. The Ravens already got pushed to their limit by the Browns. The AFC North is going to test the Ravens. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Oakland Raiders are next; and they cannot be taken lightly.

The Ravens have a tough second half of the schedule. A late season battle with the New England Patriots will be tough. The Patriots are winning without Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. One can only imagine how tough the Patriots will be at full strength. The Eagles are looking great with a 2-0 record. The Ravens have to win some of these tough games. They need to get nine to eleven wins to make the playoffs. John Harbaugh still has to see his team face a playoff caliber team. Will the Ravens be up to the test?
