Ravens Vent Session: 5 Takeaways From Week 4 Loss
4. This Was An Ugly & Deflating Football Game
The Raiders had 12 penalties for 93 yards. The Ravens had 10 penalties for 103 yards. The Ravens offense did not really show up until desperate times called for desperate measures. At halftime the Ravens faithful was frustrated. The only positive energy in that stadium when the second half started was from the Raiders fans.
At the end of the game Ravens fans were emotionally spent, at least I was. I got so down and so frustrated. I then got euphorically happy and got high on the excitement. Then I sank even lower than I was in the first place. This game was not for the faint of heart and that is an understatement.
The Ravens deserved to lose. How many times can a team get away with slow starts, moments of offensive ineptness and only heating up when their backs are against the wall? That’s not winning football and quite frankly Baltimore got away with it in the first three weeks. There was a lot of good in this game, but this is a post for cathartic venting and pointing out who really is accountable for this game’s result.
