Matt Forte

This isn’t the first time I’ve put Matt Forte in my list of players who are ready for a big week.  He was cut by the Bears due to age and money. He’s definitely outperformed my expectations of him so far this season and I’m sure many of the Jets fans as well.

Forte is a powerful back which is rare these days in football. Toughness is no stranger to Forte as he has a knack for going all out each and every play whether it’s running the ball or catching it out of the backfield.

The Los Angeles Rams travel to the East Coast to play the Jets.  Los Angeles has a stout defense, but I can see Forte having some success on the ground.  Forte will be able to run the ball for 85 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown as well as  get 4 receptions for 50 yards and another touchdown.

Side Note:

Players might not perform well if they play on Thursday Night games so it’s best to be cautious.  Granted, every player is dinged up towards the end of the season, but having less than three days off can be brutal to a players body and they need more time to heal.

Do people actually enjoy these Thursday Night games? To me, the only Thursday games the NFL should ever have are the Thanksgiving Day games, but just the two. Keep the Lions and the Cowboys playing, but lose the third one. The Thanksgiving Day football game isn’t as special anymore now that they play games regularly on Thursdays.

Here’s hoping you take a look at my Top 5 players who are ready for a big 10!
