Vladimir Ducasse

When the Ravens dealt with injuries on the offensive line last season, Vladimir Ducasse was able to step in. The 29 year old guard took the place of injured guard Alex Lewis and started eight games during the season. He was one of the lone offensive lineman to stay healthy.

If contract negotiations between the Ravens and Rick Wagner fall through, it would especially smart to keep Ducasse. This would allow Alex Lewis to move to the right tackle position and Ducasse could stay at right guard. It definitely is not a long term option, but it is the glue that can hold the line together for the upcoming season. According to Spotrac.com, Ducasse earned only $760,000 last season. He would be a very cheap option to bring back and the team knows what he can produce on the offensive line. It isn’t the most popular signing, but it could make a huge difference for the Ravens.
