2. The Ravens Will Try To Win On Defense:

Baltimore improved the secondary and brought back Brandon Williams at a hefty price. The Ravens have invested in the defense, they’re all in on that side of the football. The offense is where the team has problems. The offensive line is a question mark. There is no question about the Ravens receiving talent; there isn’t enough of it. Will Joe Flacco rebound? We’re not asking for a miracle here, it would just be nice to see him play like he did in his first five seasons.

The defense is where the Ravens have the talent. The defensive line could be viciously good. Brandon Williams is now the highest paid nose guard in the league, and there is a reason for it. From a stuffing the run perspective, nobody is better than number 98. Timmy Jernigan is hard to handle. Bronson Kaufusi is going to surprise a lot of people, after injury stole his rookie campaign. Michael Pierce, Brent Urban and Carl Davis as rotational players, now that’s a stacked line. Oh and did I mention that Terrell Suggs and C.J. Mosley are two of the best linebackers in the game?

The Ravens could use an upgrade at outside linebacker, but the defense is loaded with talent. It is not unimaginable that the Ravens could have the NFL’s best defense in 2017. With plenty of problems with the offense, they better win because of their defense.
