3. Kenneth Dixon Will Be MIA In Weeks 1-4:

This may be the most frustrating news the Ravens will receive all offseason. Kenneth Dixon has been suspended for the first four weeks of the regular season. Let’s just say that performance enhancing drugs did not enhance the Ravens outlook going into the next season. In an offense searching for a superstar, Dixon is the most promising young player. The running back from Louisiana Tech should mean a healthy dose of Terrance West on the ground to start the season.

The Ravens also brought in free agent running back, Danny Woodhead. Woodhead is more of a pass catching running back. His stats tell the story of his skill set, with two seasons with over seventy receptions. Woodhead will help, especially considering Marty Mornhinweg’s preference for the short pass. Dixon’s absence will be felt strongly however.

All offseason long we have been hearing that the Ravens want to get back to running the football. Losing their best running back for the first four weeks of the season is not going to help.
