A Rule Change Too Late For Ravens
A very important highlight of league meetings is the rule changes. One of the rules that became approved for next season is just a little too late for the Ravens.
"As part of several rule changes announced on Tuesday at the NFL’s Annual Meeting, jumping over the line to block a field goal (or extra point) has now been banned. The reason for it was that it’s been deemed too dangerous for the jumper."

Many people might argue that the “No Fun League” has struck again, but I am a fan of this rule, especially since the Ravens were on the wrong side of it. During their regular season game against the Patriots last season, linebacker Shea McClellin jumped over the line to block a Justin Tucker field goal. The block counted as the only miss for Tucker during the season. But that was not even the first time we’ve seen that play happen. Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor made this famous a couple years ago. Kickers around the league, including Tucker are going to be happy about the rule change.
