2nd Round, 47th Overall Pick – Dan Feeney, G, Indiana

The Ravens offensive line was one of the best units in the NFL not that long ago but now they have holes at guard tackle and center. Feeney is someone who would be a good value pick in the second round and would immediately help at guard.

He started all four years that he was at Indiana as part of an offensive line that has paved the way for Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard. In a west coast scheme he is a very good run blocker. He has the athleticism to pull and lead block and he is very good once he gets to the second level. He recognizes his assignment and he is quick to diagnose the best route to make his block.

Bottom Line: He’s A Great Option For The Ravens

As a pass blocker he is very good for a guard. He has nice feet and he adjusts well to the pass rusher. He actually played tackle a lot and held up well there in pass protection, so the skills translate to guard.

What’s more, he’s a tough, versatile and consistent leader. He was a captain for the Hoosiers twice and has played at both tackle and guard. Though I’d imagine he’d be a guard first and foremost, I think that he’d be able to play well enough at right tackle when the Ravens needed him to. He’d be an immediate starter and would be an upgrade for a unit that needs help.
