Peter King, the expert behind Sports Illustrated’s Monday Morning Quarterback, has Mike Williams headed to the Baltimore Ravens in his mock draft:
Baltimore Ravens fans should be excited if Thursday night goes the way that Peter King just predicted. The celebrated sports journalist chose Mike Williams for the Ravens in the 2017 NFL Draft. Mock draft season is nearly over and this is one of the most exciting mock drafts yet.
In the mock draft by King, the Ravens are faced with some interesting choices. Corey Davis was also available. King has Davis going two spots later, to the Tennessee Titans. While I would prefer Davis, it would be impossible to not be excited about Mike Williams in the purple and black.
The Ravens wide receiver position is by far the biggest need on the roster. Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman need some help. Flacco needs some help. Most of all the fans need something to be excited about when the Ravens possess the football.

At 6’4″ Williams has a huge frame. He can win the 50/50 balls that Joe Flacco throws up there. Williams has good speed, great hands and is a pretty polished receiver already. Other than a really rough injury that kept him out of the 2015 season, there is nothing concerning about the Clemson wide receiver.
Despite missing his junior season with an injury, Williams put up two 1,000 yard seasons with the Tigers. He was a big part of the Tigers winning it all in their 2016 rematch with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Williams had 98 receptions in the 2016 season and he scored 11 touchdowns.

The Bottom Line:
Peter King has always been one of my favorite experts. With Mike Williams mocked to the Ravens, that’s not changing anytime soon. This pick would be perfect for the purple and black. The Ravens need a receiver badly. If the Ravens don’t get a wide receiver in the 2017 NFL Draft, one that can change the game like Williams, the offense will suffer.
