O.J. Howard

I know this one might be a little weird, but work with me here. When the Ravens were up at #16 in the first round, they had their pick at all of the Alabama players. While tight-end might not have been a need, the Ravens would not have been wrong to take O.J. Howard. Jonathan Allen and Reuben Foster are great talents, but both have dealt with injuries. Many draft experts had Howard as a top 10 prospect, but the need for a tight-end was not there. The Buccaneers picked him up three picks later and some are calling it the steal of the draft.

At 6’6″, Howard is an immediate target. He reminds me of a Rob Gronkowski, someone who is technically a tight-end but always lines up as a receiver. Combine him with Crockett Gillmore at tight-end and the receiving game could have been deadly. I definitely do not hate the pick for Humphrey, I think he is a fantastic player. He is physical corner who immediately improves the secondary. I just think that adding Howard would have been a player who could have changed the dynamic of the Ravens offense.
