3 Baltimore Ravens who belong in the NFL Top 100
3. Eric Weddle:
Eric Weddle has always been one of the best safeties in the NFL, and he continued that in his first year with the Ravens. Weddle had 89 total tackles, four interceptions and a sack. He prevented a lot of big plays from happening against the Ravens. Weddle ranked highly according to Pro Football Focus. Here is what their Michael Renner had to say about Weddle:
"“Through the first nine weeks of the season he allowed 5 catches on 11 targets for 25 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Weddle had completely returned to the form that made him PFF’s top-graded safety in 2014 and 2012. His 92.4 overall grade was once again the best of any safety in the NFL.”"
Weddle is more than just a good player though. Weddle is a great leader and he has a high football IQ. When I think of the term “Play Like A Raven” I think about Weddle’s tenacity. I think about Weddle’s toughness and his passion. He’s one of the best players in the NFL. He absolutely belongs on the NFL Top 100.
Next: 3 Reasons why the Ravens defense will wreak havoc in 2017
These three players have to be included on the NFL Top 100. Weddle brings talent, toughness and leadership to the defense. Williams does the tough jobs in the trenches. Yanda is as good as it gets, and he continues to build towards a bust in Canton, Ohio. Hopefully we’ll see the Ravens represented by these three players.
