Recapping The Art Modell Region:

  • Jonathan Ogden over Bernard Pollard
  • Elvis Dumervil over Kelechi Osemele
  • Steve Smith Sr. over Willis McGahee
  • Chris McAlister over Cary Williams
  • Trevor Pryce over Mike Flynn
  • Anquan Boldin over Justin Forsett
  • Dennis Pitta over Lardarius Webb
  • Marshall Yanda over Corey Graham

Ogden is the only player drafted by the Ravens in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was an automatic advance here. Marshall Yanda could end up inducted along side Ogden someday, so it’s not surprising that he won. The most competitive contest here was between Dennis Pitta and Lardarius Webb. Pitta advanced by the narrowest of margins.

This region was a lot of fun in round one. There will be some amazing round two matches in the second round. The one that looks the most intriguing to me is Steve Smith vs. Chris McAlister. Those were two of my all-time favorite players. This region is fun because all of the players are easy to root for.
