Tim Patrick

Yes there are still questions at wide receiver for the Ravens. They haven’t gone out and signed a free agent, but there are plenty of undrafted guys looking for a shot. Undrafted rookie Tim Patrick out of Utah could be a guy to see some time at wide receiver this year. In just a short time at OTAs, he’s already impressed.

Here is what Ravens beat reporter Jeff Zrebiec had to say about White’s play during OTAs:

"Of the Ravens’ five-man undrafted wide receiver class, the one who  stood out the most yesterday was Tim Patrick. The former Utah player made two very nice catches, including one in which he went high and snatched the ball out of the air. Coaches are always encouraging young receivers to go up and attack the football and Patrick, who is 6-4 and 208 pounds, certainly did that yesterday, showing very good hands."

Patrick’s size at 6″4′ is something that gives him a real shot at making the 53-man roster. Having a player who can attack the football is what the offense needs. Anquan Boldin did this during his time with the Ravens and it worked wonders for Joe Flacco. Patrick could be the complementary receiver the offense needs right now. They have speedy guys in Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman and slot receivers like Chris Moore and Michael Campanaro, but no real possession receiver.

If Patrick makes the roster, pairing him with the Wallace and Perriman makes things exciting this season.
