How the Ravens Can Survive Without Tavon Young
Pass Rush, Pass Rush, Pass Rush:
If Baltimore wanted to win games based off of defense, they needed their pass rush to get better than last season, where they tied for 24th in the league with just 31 sacks.
This, once again, was addressed this off season by Ozzie Newsome.
Newsome drafted edge rushers Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams as well as defensive lineman Chris Wormley in this past draft. The team also expects second-year edge rusher Matt Judon to build off a successful rookie season.

The Ravens are also hopeful for rebound seasons from edge rushers Za’Darius Smith (1 sack in 2016) and Kamalei Correa (0 starts in 2016) as well as defensive lineman Bronson Kaufusi (missed 2016 with ankle injury).
Should a combination of these players step up, the pass rush can help mask the secondary as the new pieces take time to gel together.
Oh, and that’s not to mention Terrell Suggs has returned for his 15th season. Suggs racked up an impressive eight sacks last year. That was with a torn bicep muscle.
With more help surrounding him, there’s reason to believe the pass rush can severely help to absorb the loss of Tavon Young.
