3 times Baltimore Ravens had an argument for being MVP
Four times since 2000, the Defensive Player of the Year was a Baltimore Raven. However, the Baltimore Ravens haven’t ever had a player be voted MVP.

The Baltimore Ravens have had some pretty incredible seasons from some legendary players. The Ravens have had plenty of players in the Pro Bowl. Ray Lewis won Defensive Player of the Year twice. Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs have also been appointed as the top defender in the league. Baltimore has had plenty of success. While they have had two Super Bowl MVP’s, they have never had an NFL MVP.
One reason the Ravens haven’t ever had a player crowned as the most valuable player, is because it is an award that typically goes to an offensive player. There have been three non offensive players to win the award. Lawrence Taylor was the last defensive player to win the award, and that was in 1986. Defense wins championships, but quarterbacks and running backs win the MVP race on a regular basis. Of the past 10 MVP’s, eight of them were quarterbacks. Ladanian Tomlinson won it in 2006; Adrian Peterson won it in 2012.
