When it doubt, Ozzie Newsome seems to surprise us time and time again
With the Jeremy Maclin decision looming, all of Ravens Nation is on their toes. Maclin visited the Ravens last week and left without signing a deal. But not all hope was lost. Maclin wanted to take some time over the weekend before making a final decision between the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills.
How did the Ravens even get into this position? All offseason the need for wide receiver has been there. There were plenty of options early in free agency as well as in the draft, but general manager Ozzie Newsome chose to pass on these options. It was not a very popular decision by any means. It left many Ravens fans upset and wondering where the offensive production would come from.
But here we are. The Ravens have been patient and now have the chance to sign Maclin or even acquire Eric Decker through a trade.
Once again, Ozzie Newsome has proved to us the kind of magic he can work.

Not signing or drafting any wide receivers this offseason then having Maclin and Decker available is such an Ozzie move. Why he's the best

In Ozzie We Trust
In any time of hardship for the Ravens, you will commonly hear the slogan “In Ozzie We Trust.” It’s been said over the years, through the thick and the thin. Newsome is one of the best general managers in all of football and he’s proven this with his track record. He might not make decisions the way Ravens fans want him to, but that’s why he’s got the job. Ozzie ultimately knows what is best for the team.

So as we wait for this decision, just remember, the Ravens would not have been in this position if it weren’t for the patience of Newsome. It’s just another example of trusting in Ozzie and the Ravens front office.
