Ravens embracing north/south run style

After having one of the worst rushing attacks last season, the Ravens are looking to change that.

To help, they brought in Greg Roman as an offensive assistant. Roman worked as an offensive assistant with the Ravens back in 2006. He has a track record creating solid rushing attacks, most recently with the Buffalo Bills from 2015-2016.

He talked to the media and spoke very highly of starting running back Terrance West.

Roman also spoke about getting away from the zone-blocking scheme and making the run game more versatile.

This is the best way to go with a running back like West. He is one of the best in the league when it comes to yards after contact and the offense needs to utilize him this way. With power run blocking guards like Marshal Yanda and Alex Lewis, the run game could significantly benefit.
