The sports world isn’t expecting much from the Ravens, but Baltimore is going to exceed the expectations in 2017:

One thing that needs to be said, is that the Baltimore Ravens roster is better than it was last year. I don’t want to hear about all the players that walked out the door. The Ravens made more moves this offseason then they usually make in two offseasons. The Ravens fixed their biggest problems. The 2016 Ravens had flashes of brilliance. They clobbered the Steelers in Baltimore. They made the Miami Dolphins wish they never got on the plane to the Charm City. While they couldn’t string it together, and they lost the biggest games on their schedule, the 2016 Ravens laid the foundation for success.

Jumping from 5-11 in 2015 to being in the playoff hunt is a big jump. The purple and black fell short last year. We just have to remember that going from 5-11 to a playoff success is a hard step. 2016 was more of a rebuilding year than John Harbaugh and company would have liked to admit.

In 2016 they found two pieces to the puzzle in Ronnie Stanley and Alex Lewis. While the offensive line is highly suspect going into the 2017 season, imagine where’d they be without Stanley and Lewis. Kenneth Dixon, Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman were welcome additions to the offense last year. Jeremy Maclin may be the finishing touch to the offense.

They added Eric Weddle to help their secondary, but it wasn’t until this offseason that they finished the job. If the Ravens had Tony Jefferson, Brandon Carr, Brandon Boykin and Marlon Humphrey last season, they would have won more than eight games. Today, we’re going to go over three reasons the Ravens will build off last season and will go to the playoffs.
