1. Jaylen Hill:

The Ravens needed a young cornerback to get the job done in their first preseason game. Jaylen Hill, a rookie from Jacksonville State got a lot of playing time in this game. Hill intercepted a pass from Colt McCoy and played very tight coverage. The Ravens didn’t have their first round pick, Marlon Humphrey for this game. The nickel cornerback job is up for grabs and Hill just made his case.

The Washington offense wasn’t at full strength in this game. They didn’t have Kirk Cousins. They didn’t have their top wide receivers on the field. However you can only beat the player that lines up across from you and Hill did just that. Hill played with sharp technique and got the job done. This is very impressive work from Hill. He walked into this game as an unknown commodity to the fans. Now, he is a player everybody will keep their eye on.

Hill exceeded his expectations. He earned his opportunity with a couple of cornerbacks on the sideline with injuries. He’s a player that the Ravens felt comfortable enough putting on the field early in the game. That says a lot for Hill. The purple and black wanted to know if Hill was ready for the NFL stage. Put him in coach, he’s ready to go.
