The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Buffalo Bills in Game 3 of the Preseason.
The all important third game of the preseason was upon us on Saturday night in Baltimore, Maryland. This is the game where most of the starters play the longest before hardly playing in the fourth.
Once again, the offense was without quarterback Joe Flacco. He’s still out with that injured back.
With Flacco out, Ryan Mallett led the 1st team offense, but could only muster a field goal. Hopefully, when Joe Flacco gets back, the offense will look better.
Here are the players/units that deserve the game balls after the 3rd preseason game.

The Defensive Unit:
If this unit can stay healthy, they will be a force. I’ve been very impressed with how good this unit has been all preseason.
They are fast, dominate, and relentless. The defensive line is finally getting pressure on the QB which is great to see.
Buck Allen:
Allen is proving to me that he wants to win the starting running back job over Terrance West. He’s got that speed burst and power that the Ravens needs out of the running back position.
I like the way he goes through the hole and has that vision to make something out of nothing.
Hopefully, Allen can take the reins and lead the Ravens to a balanced offensive attack.
Matt Judon:
What can I say about Judon? He’s been a pleasant surprise since being a fifth round draft pick last season. He’s got that swagger like Jarret Johnson had. The motor doesn’t stop running and he consistently is making plays.
The more and more playing time Judon gets, the better he will get and I predict Pro Bowls in the future.

Baltimore heads to New Orleans for the last preseason game where most of the starters won’t play, so the regular season is almost here. I’m looking forward to the real games being played and I’m sure I’m not the only one, except for the players looking to make a roster spot somewhere.
