5. Keenan Reynolds:

Other than Ryan Mallett, no Raven has been more frustrating than Keenan Reynolds. He has gone through the first three preseason games without a reception. Ravens fans want to see Reynolds be successful, but the former Navy Midshipmen superstar just isn’t getting the job done. In the first preseason game he showed some excitement with a 46 yard punt return. It was a start, but it was the one big play he’s made.

The only thing Reynolds has going for him is that the wide receivers have been utterly unimpressive this preseason. Reynolds is at the bottom of the receiver totem pole though. He hasn’t even had many chances as a wide receiver. With his athletic ability, if he was ready to make plays catching the football, the Ravens would make sure they gave him a chance. One punt return in the preseason doesn’t tell us much.

Reynolds was a sixth round pick. The Ravens want to make it work. They’re not going to force the issue. They don’t have a spot for a wide receiver who may not be able to contribute in the passing game. They have Michael Campanaro and Chris Moore, so they don’t need him from a returner standpoint. At this point, there just isn’t a space for Reynolds, as badly as we may want one to be there.
