Baltimore Ravens: Game balls vs. Cincinnati Bengals
By Joe Schiller
1. Terrell Suggs
Last year we saw Elvis Dumervil’s production drop off with his increased age and many figured the same for Terrell Suggs this season. Just two years off of a torn Achilles, the retirement questions started coming in this offseason. But from what we saw on Sunday, it was the complete opposite. Suggs looked in some of the best shape he’s ever been in and that showed on the field.
Suggs had himself a day. He was all over the field, totaling five tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and one pass deflection that led to a Lardarius Webb interception. If you look back at the tape, left tackle Cedric Ogbuehi had no chance up against Suggs. The Bengals rarely gave him help and when left 1-on-1, Ogbuehi stood no chance.

It’s just one game, but Suggs looks like he’s dipped into the Fountain of Youth. If he can keep this up for a full 16-game season, the Ravens pass rush is going to be one of the best in the league. They’ve got a ton of young talent, but don’t be fooled, Suggs is still the top dog. He’s continuing to defy Father Time by the minute.
