3. Breshad Perriman:

You know who isn’t having a breakout year? Breshad Perriman. Perriman was supposed to have a breakout season. I convinced myself it could happen. He started to come on strong late last season. He has talent on top of talent. I sold myself on Perriman making it happen but so far I was totally wrong. Perriman is looking more and more like a bust. The Ravens took him with the 27th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. They had to wait until 2016 for Perriman to even touch the field. He had just 33 receptions last season.

Perriman has two catches for 11 yards in the first quarter of the 2017 season. That’s not production that is acceptable for a first round pick. This is essentially his second season but waiting for Perriman to do something isn’t easy on the Ravens flock.

He’s got the drops:

To make matters worse he is dropping passes that hit him right in the hands. He gets a pass for his would have been touchdown against the Steelers. He had to contort his body for one of the worst throws ever by Joe Flacco. That being said, he hasn’t shown a knack for catching the easy ones.

Perriman isn’t getting the job done. The Ravens are essentially letting him waste their first round pick from 2015. A first round pick is supposed to be a key piece of the puzzle. We shouldn’t have to beg for production from a player who was drafted to be a number one receiver. For the Ravens sake I really hope I’m wrong, but it looks like another miss for Ozzie Newsome at the wide receiver position.
